Don’t miss the opening concert of the NJWS 2018 – 2019 season, “Made in America”, featuring music by celebrated American composers. The NJWS will also be performing works of Leonard Bernstein whose centenary is being observed around the world.

The NJWS celebrates and honors all who have served. Marches by John Philip Sousa and E.F. Goldman, a festive arrangement of our National Anthem and a musical salute to all the men and women of our Armed Forces past and present will be featured.

It’s not only a holiday favorite, but it’s now a NJWS tradition. Michael Salzman will return as narrator and tuba soloist. The NJWS will be joined by tuba and euphonium musicians from the area who will be playing selections that are traditionally performed annually at the TubaChristmas concert at Rockefeller Center.

Christopher Martin – Principal Trumpet, NY Philharmonic

A not to be missed concert featuring Christopher Martin, the brilliant principal trumpet of the New York Philharmonic. The NJWS will perform music by American composers who have been closely associated with Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony. Music by Aaron Copland, John Williams and George Gershwin will be featured on this concert.

The 2018 – 2019 season comes to a close with over 50 of the finest High School wind, brass and percussion students from northern New Jersey joining the New Jersey Wind Symphony in concert. This program will also feature the winner of the 2018 – 2019 Youth Soloist Competition now in its 11th year.
