The NJWS opens its 37th season with soloist Leelanee Sterrett, Acting Associate Principal of the New York Philharmonic performing Richard Strauss’ Horn Concerto No. 1. The NJWS will salute all the men and women of our Armed Forces past and present with music that celebrates Veterans Day.

A holiday favorite, the NJWS will be joined by tuba and euphonium musicians from the area who will be playing selections that are traditionally performed annually at the TubaChristmas concert at Rockefeller Center. The NJWS will bring “New York to You” with featured soloist, Alan Baer, Principal Tuba of the New York Philharmonic.

The season comes to a close with over 50 of the finest local high school wind, brass, and percussion students joining the New Jersey Wind Symphony in concert. This program will also feature the winner of the 2019 – 2020 Youth Soloist Competition now in its 15th year.
